Great tv until 14 months of use. Then it died. No help.

Television was great for a little more than a year.

We bought our sylvania lc420ss8 on black friday of 2007 making the tv a little more than a year old. The tv always worked great until this week when it would not turn on anymore and we were getting blinking green led lights. I contacted Sylvania about the problem, but since their 1 year warranty had run out, they told me they did not care and I had to pay for their shoddy workmanship and defective product. I hired a licensed repair person who diagnosed my tv as having a defective main power supply board. The cost will be $400 total to replace. He also mentioned to me that he has had to fix many Sylvania and Funai products due to porr workmanship and he recommends Sony and Samsung over any of them. We are having the television repaired and when it dies again, it will be thrown away for good. Such a shame.
