This 160 GB hard drive recorder is simply great, you can easily record TV shows to the hard drive, edit out unwanted commercials and burn to DVD or record to VHS if you like. You can also transfer your old VHS format to DVD. The unit also has inputs so you can connect you digital cameras and camcorder to transfer to one or more of the three mediums available. The unit supports several popular formats and has progressive scan. Maximum of 340 hours of hard drive capacity and can record up to 10 hour DVDs. High speed DVD burning from hard drive. You can program up to 30 days in advance. You can play one show while recording another or watch the show your recording with the ability to pause and resume play much like a tivo but without a monthly subscription fee.

I've had this unit for a few months now and I think it's the best, user friendly and has a great picture and the audio is only as good as you home theater/stereo system.

I shopped around and finally purchased my unit from an e-bay store and saved at least $300.00...
