Wonderful TV for the price
Pros
Great value, clear picture, navigation friendly menus, and attractive
Cons
Remote control ugly/not user friendly, not a lot of inputs, and poor manual.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
The unit seems sturdy enough to last several years, is a great value, and has a nice picture/sound that works well in all spectrums of light.
While the picture is not as sharp as a Sony Bravia, the price tag is a lot smaller. The television is very light, has a somewhat user friendly menu system, and has all of the basics you would desire. The HDMI hook-up is a nice feature that I will be utilizing soon. We bought a wall mount with the television. When we tried to uninstall the stand for the TV the manual referred us to their wall mount user manual. Since we purchased a store special I went online to find the user manual for their wall mount, which was not online. We ended up unscrewing bolts for quite sometime and playing with them gently to make sure that we were not opening the face panel of the unit. The color out of the box was not quite right. We used our THX certified DVD (Terminator2) calibration menu to adjust the television. I am very satisfied with the unit overall. I would defiantly recommend it to a friend. It will not satisfy the film connoisseur. But it will tickle the practical. I would say it is a great way to say some room in your house as well. The unit is very light and has a streamlined looked to it. We have had it a week and the only topical complaint I have is the speaker aren't the best. But hey, you can't get caviar at the price of cheetos :)
