The Bottom Line:
Dude, buy it. This is one of the best HDTV monitors that 5 c-notes can buy.
This TV is a great addition to my home theater. The 32" size is a sweet spot between price and utility, at least for me. I held high expectations for this TV, and they were all met by the time I had fiddled with the brightness, contrast, color and such. Not only do HDTV signals look sharp, defined, and vibrant, but the SDTV signals are top of the line, too. Even from an S-video source, the standard def was very well displayed. There was no blockiness or other artifacts discernible from about 5 feet, aspects that I usually associate with SD picture on an HD set. A big bonus for me was the ability to change the aspect and zoom options on HD as well as SD. This was a constant headache with my last TV, but no longer! Sure, sound is a little below par, but it gets the job done. Just don't expect to be rattled with bass until you put in a real audio system. Overall, I'm a very happy camper about nearly everything here, except for the lack of inputs. My advice is to look for an HDMI selector from Monoprice.com and shop around for a component selector. They can both be found for under $50 each. Also, I've read some reviews cursing the lack of universal remote codes for this TV, but this is all easily remedied by a cheap (but well-made) learning remote, such as the Sony RM-VL600 (only $25!). Anyway, good luck with your search. In my opinion, though, this TV is the way to go.
