Great bargain, far exceeds other "no name" brands

Pros Price, picture quality
Cons not many inputs, not compatible with universal remotes (yet)
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I love mine and helped my dad and sister buy their own and want a 42" for the basement. Excelent.
I did a lot of research before purchasing this TV because I had never heard of Olevia before. I found this at Comp USA on sale right after christmas of 2006 for $550 which was a great deal at the time. It was on the shelf right next to the 32" Samsung so I had a very good direct comparison between the Olevia and "the best". On the shelf side by side I could notice that the colors didn't "pop" on the Olevia as much as they did on the Samsung but the Samsung was also twice the cost. I did not care about this not having a built in tuner as I have digital cable. Also I have it connected to an A/V receiver so I didn't need the TV to have a lot of inputs on it.
I use it mostly for watching TV and most of those are standard definition digital cable channels and they look just fine, at least as good as they did on the old Mitsubishi tube TV it replaced. I also watch movies using an upconverting LG DVD player connected with an HDMI cable and the picture is amazing. In addition I spend a lot of time watching the high definition shows that I get through Comcast which are also amazing. Even a year later I'm still impressed with how great this TV looks when showing HD content.
Another great feature is the VGA input that I use frequently for connecting to my laptop to display websites or pictures on the TV... This serves as a great computer monitor as well as a TV.

Since purchasing this one year ago I also bought a second 32" model for my father and a 37" for my sister. I don't think there is a better TV on the market based on price and quality.
