Olevia 532H 32" HDTV LCD TV

Update after a little over a year with this TV: We remain very happy with this TV. We have had no problems with it. The only issue we had was that we lost sound in one channel--this turned out to be because of a bad connection in one of the cables from the cable box. We might therefore be tempted to use the HDMI connection from the cable box. However, the 532 offers only one HDMI input. This may reduce flexibility when we want to add a BlueRay player.
Original review: We decided to upgrade to an HDTV, and looked for a moderate sized unit that would fit our small, urban living room. Web searches suggested the Olevia units were quite good, in many cases offering better quality pictures than more expensive units. We have been stunned at exactly how good this TV is. HDTV broadcasts make it appear as though we're looking through a magic window directly into whatever scene is shown. Color saturation and fidelity, motion, and consistency across the screen are all perfect, as far as my eye can tell. The unit improves non-HDTV content, whether standard broadcasts, DVDs, or old videos. DVDs in particular are vastly clearer than they were when viewed through our old TV. The built-in audio is perfectly adequate for casual listening, and the audio outputs provide a clean signal to our stereo for occasions when we care about this. We didn't find the remote particularly difficult to use to set up the TV, although we agree with other reviewers that it's a nuisance that the TV doesn't work with universal remotes.
