The Bottom Line:
You get your money's worth and more...but don't expect a lot more.
I'm very pleased with my Olevia 527. I got it for $400.00 which is not a lot for a 27" LCD.
Before you will continue reading this review you have to understand that I wanted this LCD not to watch TV, but to use it with my computer. Movies, DVDs, etc is what I usually do at home. I don't have cable or dish because I usually don't have the time to watch TV. Instead I download tv series or rent them on DVD. Why is that important? Maybe for someone who has cable or dish it isn't but if you are trying to receive over the air signal to watch TV you shouldn't buy Olevia 527. I had a very good HDTV/UHV amplified antenna at home. It was almost the best indoor antenna you could buy. When I tried it out with this LCD it was surprisingly horrible. My old tube like TV gives a nice clean picture while Olevia 527" is barely able to find channels. One person might find it hard to get this LCD TV running. Setup is not hard for someone with some knowledge but you will most likely need to spend extra 30 minutes figuring thins out. Unfortunately the manual is not very helpful since it's vary vague and it's missing a lot of specific details. You can try and call Olevia's technical support and I'm sure they will help you. In fact I liked their technical support because they were very prompt and knowledgeable in answering my questions.
