Great Phone With Some Limitations
Pros
Great for internet access and eliminating carrying multiple electronic devices
Cons
Data line is slow as is the phones processor. Overclocking is a must
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Great phone that needs some tweeks to perform well. Worth the money.
The Wing has a great look and feel. It is a little thicker than some phones but not bad to carry in a pocket. The keyboard has keys that are smooth and small so a little hard to use at first, however with a little use they seem easy to use. The phone comes with Windows Mobile which is okay however the internet explorer is awful. It is very slow and offers dumbed down webpages as the default. Using other browsers such as Opera is a much better choice. Performance is 100 times better. You will need to pay a monthly fee for the data line to have internet access besides wifi. It works okay but is a little slow.
The response time when the sliding screen is used to go back and forth between portrait and landscape. The processor is the main problem on the slow response time. There are many downloads that allow some minor overclocking which can dramatically improve performance. The battery life seems to be very good. The bluetooth function works great and easy to use connectivity software. A micro SD chip is a wise addition to hold extra programs and multi-media files.
The camera works well in normal mode. Zooming requires a very steady hand to keep clear pictures. The video is okay but nothing special. It is nice to have a PDA, phone, internet access, and a camera all in one item.
The touch screen works well.
