It's a mixed bag of raisins and chocolate
I was either gonna go with Sony or TDK. I spent about an hour in the store just staring at both Sony D-CJ506CK and TDK Mojo 620, meticulously dissecting every inch of their design, within the limits of their sealed plastic packagings. If I had the money I would?ve gotten both.

What more could you ask for?
This thing is simply awesome. Its flash ROM is upgradable and it even lets you edit the startup screen. It has a memory for up to 10 CDs so it doesn't have to spend an entire hour cataloging the CD every time you turn it on. You can pick exactly what music you want to hear, what artist, what genre,... Great except for fatal flaw
I bought the TDK Mojo in May 2001, and returned it a month later.
The player itself worked great, sounded great, and was a blast to use. EXCEPT for the one flaw that made me return it: you cannot scan forward/backward within a song (MP3 that is, on an audio CD this works).
