Good DVD player, but not worth the price.
I bought my Toshiba SD-P1600 nearly two year ago for somewhere around two hundred dollars. I am certain that this model can be found for a lesser price. Nonetheless, I wouldn't recommend spending nearly two hundred dollars for one of these devices, especially when there are a lot of less expensive... Read full review »
Great little machine!
My girlfriend bought this on special about a year and a half ago. I am not sure the exact amount she paid, I'm guessing between $100-$150 probably probably right in middle there.
I work mostly third shifts at work and needed something to keep me company during the slow times. I borrowed...

The only unit that works with my driving
Today at work one of the Toshiba SD-P1600 came out of pawn. As luck would have it I also just purchased a new van. I can not speak for the longevity of the device as it was manufactured this year and I have only had the unit for a matter of hours. I will recommend just on what I've seen so far that... Junk! Watch Out...
I have owned several Toshiba DVD players over the past * years and have never been let down, until I got this one for Christmas last year. I only used it a handful of times and first the battery clip broke off and I used tape and a toothpick to hold the battery in place so it can be charged. Then... Read full review »
Great Buy!!

I found that after 3 hours it was still going strong!! I had no problems with the pictures, I could view... Read full review »
Great picture/terrible sound(without headphones)
This is the first portable dvd player i've purchased. But i've seen and used many others at work. I purchased it at Best Buy for $200. The day i went to buy it, the floor model was not working so I was unable to test the sound before hand. The price was right and I saw many online, but I really... Read full review »
Decent unit, inferior screen quality
Bought the 1600 but after a more closer examination of screen quality, I judged that is was clearly inferior to the Samsung brand. For a great picture, buy another unit. Read full review »
Do not buy
I purchased this unit thinking a name brand would be of better quality. I was very dissatisfied. Image quality was below average, as well as sound. Returned this unit and replace it with Best Buys own brand (Insignia) and am very pleased. Much better performance and much less cost. Read full review »
