I recieved this telescope two years ago as a birthday presant. This was before they Tasco company had aluminuem legs and other features that mine despratly needs!
The title says it all. I didn't like the telescope from the start. For some reason the company went through all the trouble to get the parts for it and the slackers they are it does't even come assembled. The directions were small and hard to read. The whole project of putting it togather single handed took about two hours.
I was thinking to myself this thing better be worth the effort but it ended up failing miserably. The scope(when done) started off not that bad. It had wooden legs which they improved on in the later model(the ones pictured, I had the earlier model of the one to the far right in the picture shown). The bridge which came with little holes to hold the extra lenses this was made of metal instead of wood.
It had a 60mm diameter of the objective lense(the one you look through). This was a reflectining telescope meaning the final picture has been bounced off some mirrors. On the box the item came in it said "You can see the sun, moon, and stars" at first that statment was correct but now I can't even see out of my backyard with it.
The scope fell apart so quickly it will make your head spin. Who knows it might have been I didn't put it togather right, it was the earlier model, or I didn't treat it properly. The evidence still remains and I hope they have improved all there faults because it really wasn't too bad when it was new but it sure as hell wasn't great!
