Pros Very crisp sharp sound, skips instantly and changes disk fast

A had this CD player with the Technics SA-DX950 DTS amp for my birthday and i must say its one of the best I've seen. I've owned various CD player separates before including a Sony and a Kenwood and none of them touched this unit.

Pros Price, optical out for digital sound, change discs in rotation without stopping playback,...
Cons Remote is limited to CD player operation, as expected for a CD player remote.
Recommended it? Yes

There are plenty of more expensive CD players out there.

Dumping megabucks on an overpriced, "high end" Harmon Kardon player might impress your friends.

Cons Broke in under 6 months Panasonic/Technics refuses to fix the unit

Do not buy this product! I bought the SLPD-9 in Fall 2002 and it started skipping on all discs played in under 6 months. The repair experience I've had has been the worst imaginable.
