The Bottom Line:
You can do better.
I received this as a birthday present from my wife, which is largely why it hasn't hit the trash bin earlier. I'll cover the positives right now.. the display dims fairly nicely. It also has a 'Monday to Friday' alarm setting, which is great so long as you live a Monday to Friday life.
Now for the downsides:
1) The radio is pathetic. I am no audiophile, but really... I actually get better reception by slightly de-tuning from the correct station, this radio is *that* far off.
2) Even when I get it right it sounds like the $6.99 transistor radios I got as a kid from Radio Shack. I use it now only to wake myself, and it's a tough choice between the radio and the buzzer.
3) Nature sounds? Please... they have a 15 second loop of static, and the sound of what may as well be some guy yelling "awwk" like a seagull. I've heard better impressions from drunken fellows at the beach.
4) Loud beep when setting the alarm. Not an issue for those only sleep alone, but try to reset the alarm when you have your light-sleeping spouse next to you.. almost done... almost done... BEEP!!!
