Two annoying problems

The Bottom Line:
I do not recommend this product.
I bought the Timex Model T617 CD Clock Radio with Control System because it had nice features: CD/radio/nature sounds/dual alarms. I like the nature sounds, especially the ocean (the deep woods/frog croaking is downright aggravating). I've had this clock radio for a couple of months, and two problems are such a bother to me that I would not buy another one and do not recommend it.
BEEP FUNCTION CANNOT BE DISABLED. My husband and I keep somewhat different hours. At night if he's already asleep and I need to reset the alarms, the beeps wake him; likewise, if I want to turn off the alarm(s) in the morning and he's still asleep, the beeps wake him. Another reviewer has commented on this problem.
RESETTING ALARM TIME(S) TAKES TOO LONG, CANNOT BE DONE FROM A PRONE POSITION. Neither of the two methods of resetting the alarms can be done while lying down. One must sit up, face the radio, and use both hands to put the alarm in set mode then constantly turn the "smart knob" (a misnomer if ever there was one), aka volume knob. To change the time by twelve hours takes several minutes. The other method, using the reverse and forward buttons, takes a full minute.
