Driving like I do, TomTom has always been there
In my day to day life, I drive somewhere in the neighborhood of 100-200 miles, probably 6 days each week. I am constantly on the road and because of that, I truly rely on my ability to get around. I have used maps, gone through probably 6 different GPS systems, all in the name of finding my way to... Read full review »
State of the art GPS (for now)
My wife has an older Tomtom 700 and it does a great job, we even bought the updated maps for it. So when I sold my car which had GPS navigation and got my new car (without it) I was wondering if I could go back to "old school". Unfortunately for my wallet I am just too much of a gadget guy and... Read full review »
Should be on almost anyone's short list for GPS
Warning: Long review ahead.
I bought the GO 920 as a replacement/upgrade to the very good (if not as widely known) Nextar C3, which I've had just under a year. I've been very pleased with the C3, but wanted a unit with maps of Canada (for upcoming travel there) and a bigger screen than...

A superior GPS with exceptional features
I bought this GPS to replace a Garmin 370.
The TomTom 920 is very elegant and beautifully finished with rubbery/soft-touch materials. The screen is very clear and very responsive. The box includes a bluetooth remote, a windshield-mount, and an adapter to mount it on your dashboard, a car...

Update, 17 Sep 2008: This no longer is the GPS system you would want because the Garmin 370 now has a lighter and theoretically more reliable system you can use anywhere in the US, Canada and Europe all preloaded. Prices always go down later and all brands compete continuosly for sales. Screen size... Read full review »
Not a good product
i bought a TomTom GO-920 and its worst purchase i have ever made. It does nothing right. If you call their support line " I am sorry, I realize your level of frustration " that's all you get. their is No safety camera function (It's there, but grayed out) and no support for it in the US or Canada... Tom Tom 920 - a less than stellar experieince.
Started off well. Impressive unit, worked right out of the box. Took a while for the flaws to start appearing. After driving me nuts for just over a year, it now rests in a trash can at a rest stop on I-10, just west of the CA / NV stateline.
The power switch was a bit stiff at first. ...

TOM TOM, here we GO GO AGAIN!
That's right Tom Tom # 3 for me. Here's the history Tom Tom One in May 07 lovin' it, so Tom Tom One V3 early 08 so that the household had two. I Won't even go into all those great features, because if your looking at this Big Daddy of the Tom Tom world, you already know they're great.
I'll...

Quality issues with TomTom 920
I bought this unit about a year and a half ago and they had to ship 3 units to get one that worked (battery and charging issues - second one smoked when I plugged in the car charger). Now it locks up on startup and after several attempts and hours of updates it still locks up. They tell me that... Read full review »
