i like the combo unit that toshiba made and I found it to be a decent tv. I took this tv back to the store i purhcased it because the dvd player was pretty much outdated since the blu ray came out and more than likely it will be more useful to spend the money for newer technology. The screen and picture quality was wonderful, and I expect greatness from toshiba that is why I still recommend this item, if you dont care about whether you own a dvd player or a bluray
