This TV is by far the "best bang for the buck"
Pros
Excellent Value & Superb Picture Quality
Cons
Not a flat screen but flatter than most
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
BUY IT!!!! This unit has a Flatter Square Tube (FST) than any 'non-flat' on the market. The picture speaks for itself. " YOU BE THE JUDGE"
I decided to give my daughter our older 28 inch TV set and purchase a larger 32 inch for the family room.
I had a budget of $1000.00 CDN and I knew I could purchase any one of the top four brands for about that price.
I did not require PIP nor a flat screen unit but needed the audio/video inputs. I spent the entire weekend comparing models. JVC, Sony, Panasonic, Sharp, RCA, Sanyo, Toshiba etc. In viewing them all in a store environment it is hard to define one from the other. I instructed the associate to line them up side by side. I also asked him to run a DVD to each of them. This logical test eliminated all but 3.
The Sony, Panasonic and Toshiba remained. Both the Panasonic & Sony were priced at over $1100.00. I was amazed at the clarity & picture quality of the Toshiba. It was as clear as many of the flat screen units in the store. My only concern was its size and how was I going to get this brut home?
