The Bottom Line:
If you can still find this TV, it's worth every penny.
There really isn't too much to complain about on this TV. I have had this TV for about 8 months. So far, the only problems I have run into are the following :
1. The TV powered off once for no reason. Maybe a power surge or something, who knows.
2. When I first got the TV, a couple of times I turned it on and I had some squiggly lines on the screen that disappeared after about a minute. That has not happened again in the past 8 months.
3. When pressing on the audio/video panel on the back causes the TV to make a loud popping noise through the speakers as if somethings shorting. It doesn't take much to cause this.
Other than the above issues, I have been very pleased with this TV. The biggest selling feature on this TV was the size. Sure, it's a 40" wide screen TV, BUT it's only 18" deep. For a projection TV, that's unheard of. Also, it only weighs 143 lbs, which makes it easy to move. The last big screen I had, weighed over 400 lbs (literally).
