Yes
The Bottom Line:
I would definitely recommend this for those with small to medium sized rooms and to those that are trying to be relatively budged minded.
I purchased this unit for my rec room from Best Buy about a month ago. After having it delivered I was worried about the color brightness (or lack thereof), but my concerns are gone now that it is 'broken in'. I love the picture! I dont have much to say about the sound because I rarely use the built in speakers, but they do seem adequate. The color of the cabinet does not exactly fit my taste, but it made a LOT more sense when I started comparing prices.
I am a rather tall person and I have large couches, so I would prefer if the television sat slightly higher than it does. There is considerable loss in picture brightness if the display is not at eye level. I would buy a stand for it but it only needs to be about 6 inches higher... and the base is very wide (and hard to find a stand for!).
I have a relatively small area dedicated for the TV (12x14), but this model is perfect for situations when you dont have much room to work with. Controls are intuitive, but the r/c cant control my DVD player. I still have my 3 year old Wega XBR upstairs, but with this new set we have been re-watching most of our DVD collection... its definitely a whole different experience with HD and 16:9!!
This is not the perfect HDTV, but for the price Toshiba has done a very nice job. Way to go!
