Toshiba REGZA 42HL167 42" LCD TV

I have been researching HDTV for awhile now. I made a choice to go with the Toshiba 42HL167 due to it's affordable price and features! I ended up ordering the TV from Shop NBC as their value of the day. I received it in one week. The box arrived via UPS in excellent condition. I opened it up and was surprised at the minimum amount of foam protecting the TV. I had a buddy of mine help me unpack it and we set it up on the new TV stand. We hooked up Charter Cables HD box to one of the inputs and turned it on. It took about 5 seconds to fire up and we got a image on the screen, immediately we noticed Toshiba's pre set configuration schemes were terrible. Sports mode has everything set to high, standard dulls everything down, movie mode actually washes out everything even further, preference is the only user mode which let's you configure the many options. This set is a nightmare to calibrate! I spent 3 hours trying to make the picture look right, when I finally sat down to watch a movie on HBO, they had on a movie called The Covenant. I immediately noticed something terribly wrong! Green, green, green! All the dark's had a horrible greenish hue to them. I went on line and discovered this TV is plagued with a green color issue. I changed every possible setting I could find and alas the greys all have a green hue over them. The PQ on this TV is downright terrible. Toshiba should be ashamed to put out a TV with this kind of problem. I bought this TV for the bedroom and it angers me every time I go into my son's room and his Olevia 542i on standard cable looks 10 times better than my $1,700.00 TV. I can't return it to Shop NBC since they shipped it from IL & I am located in Ma. I would have to loose out on the original shipping fee of $100.00 and pay to return it to IL. What a major let down this has been.
