Toshiba 50HM66 50 in. HDTV DLP TV

The same problems that he wrote about have happened to my tv as well! I got the light wheel problem (shadow starting at center of screen and creeping to the right) when i had the tv for 3 months. Toshiba replaced that faulty part with no heartache on my end. Now today (March 22nd 2007) after owning the tv for 9 months my lamp also exploded on me while also eating breakfast! But Toshiba has a great customer care department and my new lamp is being shipped next day and i should receive it by noon tomorrow. I would probably recommend Toshiba to other customers, but i probably would pass on the 50HM66. I don't know how many customers this has happened to, but in my opinion, one is too many! It gives a great picture though, so if you do decide to purchase this tv (they can be found for as little as $1100.00 U.S. Dollars) I'd purchase an extended warranty.
