Bought 50HM66 on Boxing Day December 2006. Turned TV on this morning and pop! lamp blown. This is our secondary TV and is not in constant use. Deja Vu?
The same problems that he wrote about have happened to my tv as well! I got the light wheel problem (shadow starting at center of screen and creeping to the right) when i had the tv for 3 months. Mine has been great!
I bought one of these about a year ago (11/06) at Best Buy. The sticker price was $1499, but I was able to get a few more discounts lined up that put the price under $1000.
