Excellent picture quality. Sound quality is very good. Works great with a PC.
Cons
Turn-on time is 10 seconds. Switching channels takes 4 seconds. Not a problem.

I would buy this again as it is easily the best set I have owned. I bought my 1st TV in 1972.
Excellent picture quality. I spent much time reviewing sets and you will be hard pressed to find a better quality set at this price. It also has all the features you'll need. I have several consoles, entertainment center, and a DVD player and it all hooks up flawlessly. It is a very basic setup so you shouldn't have troubles in this regard. TV sound quality is very good, although I like my surround sound better. Excellent sized set and looks good for my 22' x 16' living room. Works great with a PC hookup.
I have HD from satellite and sports programming is probably the material that shows these TVs at their best. It is nice having the TV on the wall to keep it away from the kids. When the input material is HD it is outstanding! I also have an antenna input and the picture quality is still excellent.
It's an excellent looking set. Overall it works like it should. It has great picture quality, no serious image burn in issues. And the 50HP66 has all the features you'd ever need in a set. Buying a Plasma TV is definitely the way to go I think. This is the best TV we have owned!
