I bought the Toshiba 51HC85 HDTV CRT Rear Projection from HH-Gregg on 09-29-05, I paid $957.00 (including tax). I didn't want to wait until the RP LCD, and DLP sets to come down to where I could afford one so I bought this one. No complaints, it looks great. I have a Toshiba 42" I bought a few years ago, and it still looks great as well.
Now, this set is not cable ready (it does not have an onboard tuner). You can't plug your cable directly into it and watch tv, as a matter of fact, you need to connect with either HDMI, Component Video, S-Video, or RCA connections. You need a set top cable or satelite box. The 51HC85 is only a monitor! But, I figured I will always have cable, and will always have a cable box.
