Pros
Size, pic quality, no burn in, no pic degradation over time, no maintenance.
Cons
I seriously cannot think of one... except pic-on-pic is hard to figure out when swapping
Recommended it?
Yes
I looked and looked at different styles of HDTV: Plasma, LCD, CRT, Projection and DLP. I was very impressed with the DLP as the size was great and the technology is unsurpassed in my mind.
The TV that caught my eye in DLP was a 61" Samsung at Costco for 3495.00... I had my heart set on it so I went on a quest and started talking to people in the industry and learned that the Toshiba had better contrast ratio and A LOT better picture and more connection options. So I went to a couple stores that are local independant specialty high end electronics stores and played them back and forth and finally got the TV and swivel stand for 2899.00.
I can't say enough good things about this TV... will never degrade in pic quality, no chance of burn in, and never has to be aligned or aimed... just change the bulb every couple years... no big deal.
I recommend AT LEAST looking at the TV if you are in the market.
