My big screen is finally here
Pros
Great picture, game mode, the overall look, TV Guide, cable slot.
Cons
Lacks a second tuner. Must use VCR tuner for two televised PIPs.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
If you have the room then DLP is the way to go. Saves thousands for the same size plasma. This TV is fantastic.
My first projection TV. I was going to get plasma or LCD until I saw the DLPs at the store. I did research for about a month and settled on the Toshiba. I was going to but the 52HM94 but I could only find the 52HMX94 locally.
Purchased at ABC Warehouse in Michigan. Paid $3550 for the TV, matching stand, 5 year warranty, and delivery/setup. (Had to slightly haggle. ABC is a great place to go once you have all your info. The previous reviewer got an even better deal.
My biggest complaint is not finding enough "good channels" to watch. My cable card does not get installed until next week. I am dieing to see how the HD channels look. Most of the digital channels look good. A few have bad signals and look bad on the TV. The DVD feed looks great.
Kids were playing a viedo game and noticed that it was harder to get high scores than the TV upstairs. A quick look in the manual and I found the game mode setting. That fixed the synch problem.
I'm not an expert in the area of TVs but so far I love the unit. It started right up after I set things up. No buyer remorse here
