The Bottom Line:
STAY AWAY!!!!! You get what you pay for. Buy cheap-get cheap. I should have spent the extra $$ and bought the 55" Mitsubishi.
I paid only 1675$ for this set, delivered. However, I am already sorry I did. It has been in use for about a week now and the power supply popped and the tv will not come back on. It is the weekend and therefore can't get anyone to fix it until atleast Monday or tuesday. I think for this much money it should have lasted a bit longer than a week before needing service. The picture quality was excellent (until it broke) for an analog tv. I did not see the need for an hdtv set. The sound quality was also above average. Much better than my older toshiba 32". The remote operates everything the tv can do without getting off the couch. But, very dissapointed with the reliability so far.
