The Bottom Line:
Thinking of buying,then stop thinking and act!! That little doubt you feel after running the credit card will vanish once you plug this baby in.
Just got the set,1 month ago but it is great. Previous reviews go into good detail on the technical aspects. I will just state what an average consumer will see. Good picture with ant/ dish input , will be better once I can get HDTV in my area. Signal from cable and DSS is good but, faces esp., lack detail. Same with VCR. Just go my progressive scan DVD player and the picture is out of this world. This is my first DVD player so I dont know how it compares to a non progressive scan player.
Its a JVC xv-s60bk by the way, for $125 on ebay. At around that price, there is no reason not to get prog scan.
Remote takes a little learning but is laid out well.
Auto convergence is ok but the 9 step convergence is better. I find myself doing it about once a week. Dont know if this is just a novelty to me or if its required that often. Anyway if you are thinking of going this big, I cant imagine a better overall choice.
