A GREAT TV!!
Pros
great picture, great sound, great modern design
Cons
deeper than a dlp or plasma (obviously)
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Buy this tv, then ask yourself how you ever lived without it!
I've owned this TV for about 9 months now, and I have to say, I am not sure how I ever lived without it! Yes, it is nice that it is the first thing people marvel at when they come over, but aside from standing out and it's stylish modern look, it has an extremely good picture, and great sound.
I have a progressive scan DVD player hooked up, and I watch HDTV for sports and occasional other broadcasts. The superbowl was something else this year!! The detail on the picture is fantastic. When watching sports programs, you see the individual blades of grass, not just a green field, and can read jersey numbers from much further away (although the fact that it has an enormous picture helps a lot too)
The remote is easy to use once you play around with it, and the fact that the TV can be taken apart (splits in two, top and lower case) makes it easy to get into a second story apartment, up a narrow staircase.
This is something to see, it is an amazing television, and I would say rush out and buy it today, it is worth the slight extra cost, the picture is great, and I do not sit that far from it at all (hey, in my NYC apartment, there's not much room to back away, and it is still crisp!!)
