Toshiba 57HM167 57 in. HDTV DLP TV

The DLP technology requires a bulb that is known to fail. I have gone through 3 bulbs in less than 24 months. Toshiba Customer Service apologizes for the problem but no help. The bulbs cost $200, so unless you want to invest $200 a year into the TV, don't buy. Do your research and you will find the bulb is a major problem. The picture on the TV is excellent, but ask yourself if you want to invest $200 a year into a TV by having to replace the bulb. Without the bulb, you have no picture. I am taking the time to write this to save someone a great deal of frustration and disappointment. I have given Toshiba, who knows of the problem, the opportunity to correct. They will not.
