Convergence Problem Nightmare

I bought this version because it had "better" electronics than the 57H83, which is more available and less expensive.
After a couple of months it started having red convergence problems. Double images from red shifting up, skewed image at corners and middle make it impossible to watch. After a month and a half it's still not fixed; the next part they want to replace is the "MDCU". The repair guy said Toshiba did not suggest that earlier because "it's probably on back-order". I will not know until next week if that is true, so another weekend of watching the 19" Panasonic before I get the next update.
$2500+ for what is now an HD radio.
