Not as bad as other reviews say/Great bang for your buck

Pros Excellent HD picture for a 62" TV; Standard broadcast looks pretty good.
Cons 1080p TV that cannot receive 1080p signals, Only a problem for Blu-ray or HDDVD owners
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  As of 2007 I would probably recommend buying a newer model for the price, but if you find this set on closeout I would highly recommend it.
HDTV is fantastic on this set. Regular standard broadcast look pretty good as well considering standard broadcast don't very good on most HDTV's. If you are in the market for an HDTV I recommend you ask to see what a standard broadcast looks like before you make your purchase. My only real regret about this TV is that I didn't get a 70".

I purchased my set on November of 2005 and my bulb went out after 3 months. The Toshiba website listed their 2005 models having defective bulbs. I received my replacement bulb after a week. It was a pain, but I lived through it. My new bulb is still going strong as of May 2007 and we watch a lot of TV.

(Below is only relevant for those who own video devices with 1080p output capability)

FYI: This TV does not receive 1080p signals from HDMI inputs or component video. Although this TV has a resolution of 1920 X 1080 it can only receive 720p and 1080i signals. Now to be honest I believe 1080p to be hoax and the only reason 1080p sets look better to most people is because of the TV's video processor is superior to older 720p models so owners of Blu-ray or HDDVD players will most likely not see a difference, but if your player is on a 1080p output setting you will not get a picture.
