Buy anything but Toshiba 62HM195 !!!
We bought this Toshiba 62HM195 at Fry's Electronics on September 7, 2006 and the Lamp blew out on December 14, 2006.
The picture is beautiful, but who needs to worry if and when the lamp will blow. I had TVs that lasted 15 years with no trouble. DON'T BUY THIS TV....I contacted Toshiba , and...

Toshiba 62hm116 62 inch DLP HDTV
Lamp Blew after 100 days of ownership- purchased 8-6-2006 at Costco for 2800.00. We watched it less than 80 hours. It blew out Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Toshiba does not offer customer case except Monday thru Friday and I will need to wait another 5 days for a replacement. Read full review »
Amazing Picture Quality, Breathtaking color and detail
I went to many showrooms and compared DLP TV's side by side, and the Toshiba 62HM195 is the perfect TV for my 15' x 15' room. I would not go any bigger than this for this size room. The 72HM195 is equally as awesome, but to big for the space I wanted to put it in.

lamp blows out quickly
i had my toshiba for less than 5months before the lamp blew out. the manual says it should last for 6000-8000 hours before dying. given the short amount of time i owned this unit and the fact i used the low power setting on the bulb, i'm extremely disappointed to find this problem occuring so soon... Toshiba lives up to their bulb issue

This web site explains they had a problem and are extending the lamp warranty to two years for free replacement.

Run . . . Run Away. Don?t look at this product!
I will try to save you some pain. This T.v. has an awesome picture when its working. I think it has the best Dlp picture of any Dlp set on the market. Not as bad as other reviews say/Great bang for your buck
HDTV is fantastic on this set. Regular standard broadcast look pretty good as well considering standard broadcast don't very good on most HDTV's. If you are in the market for an HDTV I recommend you ask to see what a standard broadcast looks like before you make your purchase. My only real regret... Read full review »

I've had my 62HM195 for a few months now, and I've had no problems whatsoever. The HD picture is great--I have HD over digital cable, and it the picture is sharp and bright.
