toshiba dlp

Pros great picture quality, great color, sleek and sexy design don't forget the warranty...
Cons quick bulb burnout
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  purchase this T.V. with the extended warranty!! the picture quality is worth the worry of wondering if the bulb will go out.
I have had the opportunity to hear alot of different opinions from being able to work at best buy. Now that I no longer work there, I have the luxury of giving my opinion back without reprocusion. Toshiba has always been the hot seller in the Los Angeles area. The picture quality is razor sharp. The main point that I tried to show the consumer was the color ratio. The different amount of shades to a certain color. Toshiba puts the most colors into a tv. It might be funny to think about but they offer the most shades of red, blue and green. which are the base colors of the picture. Having the highest color ratio enables the best picture quality available. With regards to the DLP chip, Texas Instrument has the monopoly on it. Nothing else can be said on that topic. On regards to the burnout of the bulb, yes i have seen a slightly higher failure rate in bulb longevity but it is made up in picture crispness.Sound is very standard. With such a great picture quality you're going to want to buy a seperate surround sound system. I would highly recommend this tv over any Sony or Panasonic. The one catch that i would attach with this Television is the extended warranty. I highly recommend the extended warranty from wherever the tv is purchased. But make sure that the warranty covers any bulb burnouts. Since that seems to be the number one problem with the T.V. If you buy the television with out the extended warranty then all i can say is Good luck!!!
