Toshiba announced back in march 06 that they had a bulb problem. check http://www.tacp.toshiba.com/tacpassets-images/notices/dlplamp.asp
This web site explains they had a problem and are extending the lamp warranty to two years for free replacement.
the On indicator light is TOO bright and shines right at you.
The TV guide system is unusable; slow, no control of channels displayed, confusing.
