Excellent TV -- for about 45 days.

We owned this TV for about 45 days when the Toshiba 720P DVD player stopped working. Turns out one of two HDMI ports stopped working on the TV. A week later the TV turns itself off and on as if possessed. Now it only turns itself off after about a minute of use. I started asking other people about their Toshiba TV experiences and now I am not too sure about keeping this one. My last Toshiba lost sound after a few years. The one I owned before that blew it's picture tube a year and three days after purchase. The one year warranty would not cover it, not even a hint of help was offered by Toshiba. My friends Toshiba blew its sound and my step-fathers TV lost its sound. I could not find anyone with an old Toshiba TV.
Now I have a blank wall for an undefined period of time while the repair shop grasps for answers.
