This is my first venture into HDTV. I did much research. I had been holding out for LCoS, hoping that there'd be a Dell/Intel product out for Christmas 2004. However, when LCoS again proved to be an elusive technology, I went with DLP and Toshiba on the recommendation of a senior editor at Popular Science magazine. I compared the sets side-by-side at Best Buy. The Toshiba is the clear choice over the Mitsubishi 52X25 series - less glare than Mitsubishi's Diamond Shield and no need to buy the integrated but unnecessary HD tuner.) I also bought a Hughes HD/DVR tuner, put up a Terk outside antenna to pick up my over-the-air HD and standard HD, and it's Welcome to the Wonderful World of HDTV! After 1 month, would make the same choice again.
