Updating my 7/8/09 Comment on Toshiba 65HM167 DLP TV

Good picture and sound.

1000s white dots on screen; replace expensive bulb 6-8 months.

Despite excellent picture and sound, now AFTER 26 months of use, I am confronted by 2 problems. (So be sure to have 5-year extended warranty on this product--and hope they will honor it that long.)
1) The light bulb needs replacement every 6 to 8 months ($170), and
2) After 2 years, a new problem has emerged: a white dot appeared on screen, which kept multiplying; there are now (in 2 weeks) has 1,000+ white dots on it--which is apparently also a problem on Samsung TVs. This is annoying especially when the background is dark.
Tomorrow I will contact my warranty about the white dots, but fear that this might be a complicated problem with the electronics which the warranty company might side-step.
