An affordable yet quality TV...

Pros Component video, PIP, 850lines, great picture
Cons A bit heavy...nothing else.
Recommended it? Yes
I was looking for a new 36" TV for my Home Theater and in the process of looking at different sets,I found this little jewel (if you can call little a 170+ pounds TV). The picture quality is great. While the screen is not flat by any means, it still shows superb picture detail. Compare to other more expensive models, this set holds is own and then some! It has a nice option called Theater Mode which automatically sets different parameters to 'look' like a theater screen. By the way the TV has 850 lines of resolution so your Dreamcast will look great too!
To be honest I don't know much about its sound performance because I always use my Kenwood receiver for sounds. So you may want to hear it first if you plan to use its built in speakers.
Other options include Picture in picture. It only has one tuner so you will have to use your vcr if you want to get other TV stations with PIP but still a nice, if not useless, feature. Now, my favorite feature is the Component video inputs. By using this inputs with your DVD player the picture detail gets pump up substantially. I will never go back to S-video after experiencing Component video, much less composite video.
I am very happy with this TV. I paid $800.00 at Sears in Puerto Rico so I guess you might be able to find it even cheaper. Believe me you won't be disappointed with this baby. It will be with me till I am able to get a Wide screen TV.
