Toshiba DR560 DVD Recorder

We've had our toshiba dr560 recorder for about a year now and it works great!  I was leary after reading rvws of these machines of all brands but this one got the best reports.
Its done very well and is as easy to use as a vcr. I split my cable hook up so one goes right to the unit and used rca lines to hook to monitor (tv) I can rec'd one thing and watch another but we do not use a cable box converter.
I use dvd -rw's since those discs allow chase play and seem to have the most options.  I just buy what the basic store carries and have had no issues w/ the discs. (gone over and over them).
I sure hope the newest model of this is as good!
