Toshiba DVR610 DVD Recorder / VCR Combo

I love this machine, the DVD portion of it is awesome, records great, I have had this Toshiba for about a year and I have had no problems at all with it.My only real complaint is that the machine records HD great but the transfer signal while watching the program or movie does not appear to be upgraded to HD. so the recording is fine once you view it off the DVD but not while recording.If you have the right combo of wires and hook up you are fine, just a pain to have to always switch back to HDMI on the TV to get proper signal and not watch it while recording in AV1 mode.Also the transfer of VHS tapes to DVD is hit and miss, I had a couple of home movies on VHS that transferred with bad tracking, so the tracking on the machine for VHS is so-so, I have also had some transfer very well and had no problems.Overall I would suggest this toshiba to anyone looking for a DVD recorder, even if you don't need the VHS part it is nice to have it for an old movie that pops up only on VHS or for transferring home movies from VHS. The machine also has inputs for hooking up camcorders to record direct to DVD.Great Machine, Great Value!
