Another winner from Toshiba
Pros
Inexpensive
Cons
cheaply made
Recommended it?
Yes
This is not a high quality VCR. It is cheap. Very cheap. When I opened the box the door for the tape tray was off it's hinges.
That all said and done...
If you are watching your pennies or need a cheapo vcr for the den or bedroom, then I would have no other choice but to recommend this vcr. Don't plan on doing a whole lot of recording off of TV or video to video with it though. This vcr's main purpose is to play rentals. That's about it. If you are going to be doing dubbing or recording, then spend a little more and get a higher end VCR. At least get a 4 header. This is only 2 heads.
Besides the broken door on mine, the only other concern I have is the universal remote that comes with it. I dont think a worse design has ever been conceived by man. It is very confusing and hard to find all the tiny little buttons (especially in the dark!).
Summary: Cheap VCR, but it plays tapes just fine. Depends what you're motives are.
