Toshiba M465 VCR

I purchased this VCR as a replacement for an older model. I hadn't done much research and wasn't looking for any special features. I wanted a simple 4-head VCR with on screen programming. I thought this Toshiba might fit the bill.

I've only had this VCR for two months and it's not my favorite in the house. It has a pleasant look and the playback picture quality is nice and clear. The universal remote is a plus, though the instructions on how to program the remote aren't very clear. Actually, none of the instructions on operating this VCR are very clear. I didn't have much difficulty with set up and I was able to get the on screen programming to pop up. The on screen display is very generic looking and not very pleasing to the eyes. When I set the timer record, it didn't work. Huh? I followed the instructions! I've since only been using this VCR for playback and for one time recording. These functions do work well. I suppose my biggest complaint about this VCR then, are the poor instructions that come with it. Perhaps we should try the French translation.
