Worth it if you aren't recording much and can't afford better.
I got this as a college student with limited funds. It is a decent VCR that has never given me any problems with the basic functions such as playing movies, rewinding them, etc. However recording has virtually never worked for me - either it isn't possible or it's too complex. The low price is great if you are on a budget, so long as you aren't buying it in order to record anything, or have a knack with electronics that I lack. There's nothing to love or hate about this VCR. It's not great, but it's not horrible either, and VCRs that are tough to program to record and such are almost a tradition.
