An Oktoberfest VCR Review

Pros High Quality and Durability, has some nice extra features
Cons Haven't experienced anything negative yet.
Recommended it? Yes
I am not going to tell you that this is the greatest VCR on the market now, nor am I going to tell you that it is a junkpile and it needs to be dumped immediately, what I will cover it just all that I have experienced, and noticed about this VCR:

1. Very reliable. That is the first and foremost point I feel needs to be said about this VCR. We have had it a while now, and have used it to death, yet we have never had a problem from it, it has never been to the shop, it has never had a problem with the auto-tracking, and it has never made those mysterious clanks or clunks. Anytime I put in a movie, I can just expect it to provide us with a smooth ride.

2. Easy to record any show I know I am going to miss. All I have to do in order to do this, made easy through a feature the Toshiba has put in the VCR called VCR Plus+. In order to do this I first have to find my TV listings and located next to the show will be a code. With the remote (which is universal I might add, so it works on both the TV and VCR which is a little added bonus so you don't have to have multiple remotes floating around all the time), you enter the code, and the VCR does the work itself. Not only does it record the desired program, but it also turns itself off when the program is over, so you don't have to fret erasing all those other programs you didn't want to watch. (As what used to happen to me all the time with my old VCR)

3. Rewinds like a Hyper-Active child on Speed. That's right, this thing has a high-speed Rewinder and Fast Forwarder (for lack of better words) and can get that video rewound in around 2 minutes. That means no more having to wait around for the 2 hour video to finish rewinding 15 minutes later.

4. Talk about High Quality For the price we got this VCR at, I was quite surprised at the picture and sound quality it provided us. This as well as the durability of it (as I mentioned earlier) make this a great little investment for the home. A nice little feature than goes well with it is that it has an auto-timer, so even if you lose power, or unplug it, as soon as the power has been restored to the VCR, the clock will still be on-time, and you won't have to go searching through that owners manual trying to figure out how to set it yourself, not the selling point of the VCR, but a nice extra luxury.

Note: Obviously I had nothing negative to say about my VCR (yet), but as I said earlier, that does not make it the best one out there. I accept the fact there are probably better ones out there, with better features and such, but for me, this one works nicely. For those looking for a VCR that is durable and that has a few nice amenities, this check out this one, you surely won't be dissapointed.
