Nice replacement for a nice price

Pros Great picture quality, very easy to use
Cons without the remote programming is impossible
Recommended it? Yes
I got this VCR as a gift from my boyfriend, I got to choose which model I wanted, and for our price range and viewing and recording needs, this one was perfect.

I like Toshiba products because of the easy to use features they have. This model has: 6 head design, Index search, Hi-Fi stereo, English, Spanish and French language on screen display, Digital tracking, Auto head cleaner, Auto Program set up, Face display of time and mode, Dual speed selection for rewind and fast forward, and also Dual A/V ports, one in front for easy access to video game systems, and one in back I use for my WebTV unit to stay permanently plugged into.

I am not an electronics whiz at all. Complicated instructions only confuse me. this model is very simple to set up and use all the features for even a novice like myself.

The picture quality is fantastic compared to 4 head models, and the recording quality is flawless. The only complaint I have with this VCR is something that is becoming more and more common I have noticed. If you break or misplace the remote, programing is impossible.

I am not sure which genius thought up this idea, but I would like to see them put in a room with only episodes of Barney programmed into the thing. We have 4 people who use this VCR and someone always puts the dang remote in the hardest place to find. (I am going to attach one of those whistle activated keychains to mine next).

Other than this small pain in the neck of the remote, this VCR is by far one of the nicest and easiest to use I have ever owned, and the design of the casing is nice looking up to date also.
