Perfect Size for a Motorhome!

Why We Purchased This TV/VCR
We recently purchased a MotorHome, and needed a AC/DC television with built in VCR for our use when camping. After checking out the prices around town, we found the Toshiba MV9DM2 to be the best priced, and the Toshiba brand came highly recommended by our TV repair man. Similar sets with an unrecognizable brand name were almost as expensive as this Toshiba, and from past experience I believe that Toshiba is one of the best brands on the market today.
About This Unit
This unit is small and compact, with a 9" screen. Plenty big enough when placed in a MotorHome, it's lightweight and portable to go about anywhere. It comes with its own remote control. The front of the Television has these functions:

The remote control has more functions on it than our Toshiba television we use at home! It features:
Closed Caption Button

Rewind
Record
Zero Return (use to stop tape when counter reaches 00:00:00)
Eject
Power
Mute
SL/SLP speed for recording
Pause (Will resume after a few minutes however)
Timer Record (to record at a pre set time)
Input Selection
Sleep (tv turns off automatically after 2 hours)
Call (shows time/day/channel/counter/speed selection)
Digital Tracking

Cancel
Enter
Stop
Skip Search (searches forward in 30 second increments)
Even though this TV is a compact set, the remote is full size. Nicely layed out, with enough distance between the buttons that you are not pushing two at once. The print under each button is small, I can't read it clearly without my glasses on. It is easy to figure out and only uses two AA batteries (not included). It has a range of 15 feet, plenty for our small space, but probably wouldn't want to use it in a large room when the sofa is farther away from the TV. A handy owners manual is included that explains step by step (with pictures) how to use all the different functions.
Without going into a lot of detail, you can see that with this TV and remote control you get a lot of bang for your buck! This TV can be used in a standard 120 V outlet, or in the DC power supplied by your cars cigarette lighter, (and a DC power cord comes with the Television). The set also comes with rabbit ear antennas for a better picture, but we have not needed to use them as our MotorHome has a large roll up antenna that works the best.
Other Features
*For my bilingual friends, you can set the on screen language to read either in English, Spanish or French.
*It has a clock and daylight savings time setting. When the TV is plugged into the AC outlet, it automatically sets the time and date!! YEAH!
*There is a programmable on/off timer that allows you to turn the set on or off at a pre selected time.
*You have the option of having your favorite channels programmed in. The TV is also capable of receiving up to 113 Cable TV channels.
*It contains a "V-Chip" that forbids children to watch unwanted programming (if the programs are encoded with this information.)
Conclusion
Bottom line, we love this set. The picture was not super clear where we've been camping because of the poor reception in those areas, but when we viewed VCR movies, the contrast, color and sharpness were fantastic - as was the sound, very clear. The picture had very good color as well.
I cannot comment on the speed of the rewinder because my husband refuses to use them, we have a separate rewinder that we use on all of our VCR tapes.
We have a Class C Motorhome and the TV fit perfectly in the bed area above the drivers seat. It is, however, too deep to be placed in any of our cabinets. The set is colored black (a dust magnet) and is made of a sturdy plastic that looks like it will hold up for years to come. We absolutely love this TV!
