Great flat screen and combo TV
Pros
Clear picture, flat screen
Cons
Remote control commands are cramped
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Overall, I am very happy with this TV and would recommend it, especially for a good flat screen.
I bought this TV because I needed something bigger for my bedroom, and the DVD/VCR combo *and* flat screen caught my attention. I was able to get a good deal on it, and the sharp silver design of it was a plus as well.
Only having one plug going to the wall is a huge plus for the DVD/VCR combos. A downside to that, of course, is if one part fails, you have to lug the whole unit in for repairs - not a fun task. The flat screen gives a great picture with much less glare than curved screens. The most impressive picture quality comes when watching DVDs, the images are clear and smooth. The sound quality is average, and top volume is very loud.
The only thing I would complain about is the remote control. They cram too many commands on it and the buttons are all exactly the same size. The writing is tiny, and most buttons have two functions. It's confusing to try and figure out what buttons the text is referring to, especially for the DVD functions which are printed in a pale orange color.
