Toshiba MW20FP1 is a Dog
Pros
Good TV/DVD picture. Convenient.
Cons
VCR picture is awful. This is obviously an ongoing problem. Buying this is a risk.

I read the reviews here which were not too favorable to the Toshiba 20" combo but decided to buy it anyway. Big mistake. Just as one reviewer wrote, the VCR picture was horrible -- ghosts, blurry, poor color. No adjustment would fix it. It was just plain lousy. The TV picture and DVD picture were fine. I did not have the patience of one reviewer here who returned the unit for a replacement. I got my money back in exchange for a TV and a separate DVD/VCR combo -- Sony. Great. Or so I thought. Now the DVD portion of the DVD/VCR combo does not work. At all! The DVD's are not recognized. So, the DVD/VCR combo is going back for a separate VCR and DVD player. My first inclination when I went to buy this system was to follow the advice that you are better off with separate units. I should have followed this hunch. I will end up paying only $20 more for three separate units than for the original Toshiba.
My advice: if you want a TV, VCR, and DVD player, buy separate components but, whatever you do, don't buy a Toshiba MW20FP1.
