The Bottom Line:
If the battery life was longer, the replacement battery cheaper, and if Toshiba cared about its customers, i would recommend it.
I liked everything about this player initially. However, after 6 months of use, the battery life diminished to under 30 minutes of viewing time. The replacement battery is very expensive at about $150. Toshiba is not customer friendly at all. They have terrible customer support. The picture quality is great, the sound average (not good without headphones), and no car adapter available. You must have a spare battery at all times if you want to watch a complete movie.
Toshiba stopped making this model, and they are notorious for not supporting products after they discontinue it. I called numerous times complaining that a battery should last longer than 30 minutes (after owning the player for less than 6 months) but they could care less!!
